Scrapbooking fun!

So, last weekend we had a rockin' fun time at my friend/boss, Robin's new house. We had a March of Dimes fundraiser crop day! We had about 10 of us there including my dear daughter Tiffany and played with paper allll day!
I didn't do as many projects as I wanted but I am happy with what I got done!
Here is my projects for the day:

Did a layout about our new house, feeling so blessed that we came upon it when we did. These papers are from Archivers in Boise, I shopped quite diligently for what i wanted for that page along with the next set of my daughters....

...and here are Dani and Tiff in thier SUPER CUTE hats that Robin's MIL Lois sent them at Christmas! I love these photos, they are some of my all time faves of the girls and I really wanted to do them justice on the layouts. LOVE the colors and how it came out...

I won a drawing at the crop and got these UBBBBER CUTE papers in a stack - they are a DCWV stack of outdoors themes. LOVE the little critters on them and they worked perfect with our camping photos from last summer! Really liked this layout!

and lastly, I used up some scraps and made a few cards. Didn't like the one withthe tags so much but it is what it is. LOVED the cute outdoorsy looking ones, the ribbon really made them POP too!

So there they are! Cute! Fun! Creative!
Only problem is I bought non permanant adhesive and they are alllll fallling apart! I have to re-adhere them now to keep them alive LOL Silly me.

New fave song right now... says so much

The Script: For The First Time
She's all laid up in bed with a broken heart
While I'm drinking jack all alone in my local bar
And we don't know how we got into this mad situation
Only doing things out of frustration
Trying to make it work but man these times are hard
She needs me now but I can't seem to find a time
I've get a new job now in the unemployment line
And we don't know we got into this mess it's a gods test
Someone help us cause we're doing our best
Trying to make it work but man these times are hard
But we're gonna start by drinking old cheap bottles of wine
Sit talking up all night
Saying things we haven't for a while, a while yeah
We're smiling but we're close to tears
Even after all these years
We just now got the feeling that we're meeting For the first time
She's in line at the door with her head held high
While I just lost my job but didn't lose my flight
But we both know how we're gonna make it work when it hurts
When you pick yourself up you get kicked in the dirt
Trying to make it work but man these times are hard
But we're gonna start by drinking old cheap bottles of wine
Saying things we haven't for a while, a while yeah
We're smiling but we're close to tears
Even after all these years
We just now got the feeling that we're meeting For the first time
Drinking old cheap bottles of wine
Saying things we haven't for a while, a while yeah
We're smiling but we're close to tears
Even after all these years
We just now got the feeling that we're meeting For the first time
For the first time
Oh, for the first time Yeah, for the first time
Oh these times are hard
Yeah they're making us crazy
Don't give up on me baby

working on it

i keep telling everyone "i am working on it" as far as the half marathon goes
but the reality is that i have not been working HARD on it and i need to be

so, if i tell you i am working on it - chew me out and tell me to WORK HARDER

ok? :O)

in the meantime, i am working hard at finding my strength and ambition and drive
and finding what means the most to me in all this training process and quite frankly it feels good to think about ME for a bit right now

words of wisdom from friends and family

I asked for inspriation from friends yesterday and here is some of what I got - inspired? YES!!!

My cousin Mamie said "It doesn't matter how slowly you go, as long as you don't stop" and that was her favorite of the day. I LOVED it. LOVED it. It is true, I will probably never e the fastest runner but if I don't stop at least I'll finish - right?

and another for today

From my friend Nancy in Boise, "Your future is decided by 1) Faith 2) Choices and 3) Effort It's As Easy as 1, 2, 3!!!"

Now just to get my butt to the gym and start pushing for that taunting ellusive 12.1 miles....

Jillian Michaels ... Love her, she is so smart!!

Jillian posted this on FB today and I loved it - thought it was so insightful:

Fear of failure can be paralyzing. But surely you've heard “if your not failing ...your not trying”? Evidence that failure is all a matter of perspective. Think of all the people you admire, I guarantee you they all failed at one time or another.
The key is to recognize setbacks for what they really are – entry points for learning not validation that you aren’t good enough. After a disappointment analyze your actions, get feedback from friends & take inventory of what you could do better next time.
This type of self-reflection & improvement will ultimately make success inevitable.See More
