this past week I ....

ok so I thought I'd give a rundown of my week - not that it was spectacular
or out of the norm or anything thrilling, but just, a normal, everyday sort
of week for me and my household of crazies

So here goes:
SUNDAY May 23rd 2010
we spent the morning dragging around Odessa's house in Boise prepping
for another rainy cold soccer game - the final game for our girls Odessey
team for the Pres Cup tourney - it was a rough weekend, not only were
we outplayed and outmatched we froze and froze and got wet - not good -
but fun while it lasted LOL the last game was fairly good weather actually
then we packed up and headed out - grabbed lunch and visited Carla and
baby Noah for a min and headed home - Dani drove most of the drive from
Boise to IF - it was a long drive

MONDAY May 24th
work - house - kids - work
trying to catch up from the weekend away in Boise - trying to get
laundry done and house tidy and can't seem to keep my nose out of
ECIPSE the 3rd book in the Twilight series

TUESDAY May 25th
my day "off" ? worked on the house a bit - had an early appt at
biolife - took Tina to the groomers (disasterous) - mowed the yard
and ran around town chasing down kids after school and still not
caught up on the housework - watched Biggest Loser finale' and LOVED
it

WEDNESDAY May 26th
lazy lazy morning, took Ed lunch, came to work, worked,
went home, cooked dinner and stuck my nose in that book again!

THURSDAY May 27th
spent the a.m. running around cleaning house for a realtor to show
had to work at noon again then to bio after work - had an ugly
argument with Dani over her messy room - and an ungly phone conv
with Carlee about the Browns, still having issues letting some of that go I guess, it is like a big raw rough hole in me, it is scabbing up but sometimes I pick at it? if that makes sense at all - then, leftovers for dinner -
lounged in bed and watched tv and then read and read and read
till' almost midnight!

FRIDAY May 28th
at the office all alone all day
LaRee in Boise for her FIL funeral, Robin took a day with her boys
lonely but peaceful to have the day so quiet
weighed in the a.m. with Sidnie for the church group - feeling quite
discouraged - Ed had to show the house to an appraiser today too
feels like lots of things are out of my control right now - not that
I am a control freak but this is the pits

SATURDAY May 29th????
we will see what tomorrow brings???? house, yard, laundry, kids?
i am supposed to go do a big overhaul clean for Lisa May tomorrow
before she comes home from vacation - hope I can get it done! also
Lan gets remarried tomorrow and has the open house for he and Mimmi
and the new house - weird to think about

and THAT is what my week has been like - ups and downs and stuff
that still lingers in my head and heart with stuff that I cannot
control... but overall a good week - busy but good.

downer....

I took a self esteem quiz today - it was in an email I got and
I thought it was interesting enough... ha!

You Are in need of a self-esteem boost.
Self-doubts are holding you back. You are aware of your feelings but still tend to be shy about taking firm action to stand up for yourself. Learn to respect and express your own needs and desires and you could be an inspiration for others.

soccer fun in Boise -

Liz let us paint her car for the soccer team - SO cool!

**and dingy blogger is doing the 'one photo' thing again...**

true true true

We probably wouldn't worry
about
what people think of us
if we could know
how
seldom they do

Don't take anything personally.
That's the second agreement of Don Miguel Ruiz's classic, "The Four Agreements."

I need a reminder today.

Whatever happens around you, don't take it personally...
Nothing other people do is because of you.
It is because of themselves.
All people live in their own dream, in their own mind;
they are in a completely different world from the one we live in.
When we take something personally, we make the assumption that
they know what is in our world, and we try to impose our
world on their world.

Even when a situation seems so personal,
even if others insult you directly,
it has nothing to do with you.

What they say, what they do, and the opinions they
give are according to the agreements they have in their own minds...
Taking things personally makes you easy prey for these predators,
the black magicians. They can hook you easily with one little opinion and feed you whatever poison they want, and
because you take it personally, you eat it up....

But if you do not take it personally,
you are immune in the middle of hell.

Immunity in the middle of hell is the gift of this agreement.

I'm not there yet. I am way too sensitive and way too vulnerable to the opinions of others.

So, I keep trudging along. One day at a time. Reminding myself what
others think DOES NOT matter and SHOULD NOT matter.
Pretty selfish (in my mind and way of thinking) but that is who
or 'what' I am.

Big ol' thanks to Den's mom for getting all
these great photos of the kids before Prom

all ready before she left so I did not get
to take pictures so his mom brought her
camera and mem card over today for me to get
them too - so aweosme!
So, here they are, Dani, her awesome boyfriend
Den and some of thier friends they went with
to the Spring Formal Prom - Commencement!
I swear she gets prettier every single day!

MORE soccer fun - baby Ryker and playing with the camera...

Have had a CrAzY weekend so far but loving every minute of it!
Running like mad since I got off work last night for the first
game in Dani's tournement here in IF (the soccer complex is
just a few houses down the street from us - soo nice!)
and
then up and going at 6:30 a.m. this morning for more games!
We had two today and it was really fun! :O) All through this
we also had the opportunity to help out with our friends lil'
baby boy who I HAD to take pix of too! Also had Dani's boyfriend
visit during a game to watch her play - very cool... they
are going to Prom tonight so he spent the afternoon with us.
I played a bit with the new camera today as well, taking some
photos outdoors, playing with settings and focus and all
that stuff that I totally do not "get" but got some great
shots! LOL
OH!! and although I got no pix AT Tiff's play last week at school, I
did get a couple before we left - she is getting sooooooo pretty!
So - there is my short version of the 1001 photos I am sharing.
(I took over 100 at the soccer game this afternoon alone!)
TOODLES!

*In other good news, I have been going out running this week
and using my new GPS app on my blackberry and am beyond happy
with how I have done and with the toy to track it too! I did
a 5 mile on Thurs and 3 miles this a.m.*

friendship

YELLOW roses represent friendship - but they are my fave.
Probably because I have had so many wonderful friends in my life.
I am lucky. I have had great friends as a child growin up.
I had a couple of FANTASTIC friends in HS.
When we lived in Boise I had some great friends from Church.
When we moved to IF I again made new friends from Church.
The past few years I have gained new friends via jobs and
scrapbooking.
Recently I have realized some of my very BEST friends are my
sisters! XOXO and I have awesomely awesome friends at my job.
Sometimes we loose friends along the way - sometimes a good thing
sometimes not so good. Sometimes a good friend(s) tell you that
a friend is not really a friend. Sometimes I should listen.

It's the only one you've got....

GOT TO LIVE THIS LIFE YOU'RE
GIVEN LIKE IT'S THE ONLY ONE
YOU'VE GOT!

Love love love this song and the lyrics speak to me.
3 Doors Down is one of my very favorite bands ever
and this song is just one of the many reasons why.

Me and shorty mcshort shorts and jogging and tank
tops with my flying squirel arms and backfat and
all those "not so" beautiful things... the image
in my head is not so grande - so I can only imagine
the image in 'real life' to those who have to suffer
with watching me trot my trot down the road...

HOWEVER this song just re-affirms my wants and needs
and abilities to do what I can with what the Good Lord
has given me ( allllll of it! )

********************************************
IT'S THE ONLY ONE YOU'VE GOT - 3 DOORS DOWN

How do you know where your going
if you don't know where you've been?
You hide the shame that your not showing
and you won't let anybody in.
A crowded street can be a quiet place
when your walkin' it alone...

And now you think that your the only one -
who doesn't have to try - then you won't have to fail.
if your afraid to fight, then I guess you never will.

You hide behind your walls of maybe nevers
forgetting that there's something more
than just knowing better.
Your mistakes do not define you now
they tell you who your not.

You've got to live this life your livin',
like it's the only one you've got!

Memories have left you broken
and the scars have never healed.
The emptiness is growing with so little left to feel.
You're scared to look back on the days before
but too tired to move on.

And now you think that your the only one -
who doesn't have to try - then you won't have to fail.
if your afraid to fly, then I guess you never will.

You hide behind your walls of maybe nevers
forgetting that there's something more
than just knowing better.
Your mistakes do not define you now
they tell you who your not.
You've got to live this life your livin',
like it's the only one you've got!

What will it take to get you to say that I'll try?And what would you say if this was the last day of your life?

You hide behind your walls of maybe nevers
forgetting that there's something more
than just knowing better.
Your mistakes do not define you now
they tell you who your not.
You've got to live this life your livin',
like it's the only one you've got!

SOCCER!!!!!

OK OK OK a LOT of photos I know.
I have not had much chance to take photos of Dani's soccer
this year - it rains, it snows and it blows. And blows.
And blows. Eastern Idaho is known for it's wind. Yes.
However, there is an iconic belief that the wind blows
EVERY time we have a soccer game. EVERY time. Sun or not,
the wind blows. So, at yesterday's game we braved the cold
again... and you can see by Dani's wild n wacky wind-blown
hair that the winds were CrAzY outta control (25-30 mph).
We played the IF XTreme U16 girls and it was a good game -
we WON 1 - 0 and it was awesome!
So, here is a TON of shots of mostly Dani playing, she is
in the yellow - number 20 - and one of the tallest girls out
there! She did amazing in the game despite the wind.
GO ODESSEY!!!!!!

*still working on the day in a life photo journal*
